Virginia Lacrosse will return most starters in 2023

The weekend of the college lacrosse championship is ahead of us and for the first time in four years, Virginia is not one of the last four teams competing for the men’s national lacrosse championship.

Last weekend, UVA’s season and reign as a two-time national title defender ended in a brutal 18-9 defeat by the undefeated and probably tied to the Maryland Therapins Championship. As expected from the results as it was, it is still quite unusual for Virginia to lose in May. This was the first UVA defeat in the postseason since May 12, 2018.
