HUNTINGTON - Summer is just around the corner, and this Remembrance Day weekend marks the beginning of the 2022 bathing season.

St. Cloud Commons Splash Pad

This spray pad was completely made in 2020 and contains water spray, tactile and auditory stimulation.

WHERE: It is located next to the park St. Cloud Commons at 1701 Jackson Ave. in Huntington

OPENING: It is expected to open on Monday, May 30, on Remembrance Day

HOURS: Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 8 pm and Sunday from noon to 8 pm

Waterways

Water Weiss is a water park for all ages and includes five water slides, a lazy river, a children’s island and a junior Olympic pool. You must be at least 44 inches tall to ride the slides.

WHERE: 628 Waterway Road, Julian, West Virginia

HOW MUCH: $ 12 for anyone 44 inches or older. Pipes are included in this price. $ 5 for anything under 44 inches. Free for children 3 years old and younger accompanied by an adult.

OPENING: Memorial Day, May 30th

HOURS: 11 to 18 hours a day

Pipestem Adventure Lake and Splash Park

Located in Pipestem Resort State Park, the lake includes dinghies, water slides, trampolines and a lounging beach. Splash Park has 18 features of spraying, spraying flowers and animals.

WHERE: 3405 Pipestem Drive, Pipestem, West Virginia

HOW MUCH: $ 16 per person for a day pass or $ 12 per person for a half-day pass. $ 6 for a beach pass for non-swimming. All participants must wear a life jacket and complete the waiver.

OPENING: Now until Sept. 5

HOURS: All-day working hours are from 10 am to 6 pm, but half-day sessions can last from 10 am to 2 pm or from 2 pm to 6 pm.

IMCA Kennedy Center

The Kennedy Center has an outdoor pool with several water slides, a diving board and a shallow surface, as well as a mushroom spray mat. Families can also rent a room by the pool for five hours or buy season passes.

HOW MUCH: Daily pool tickets are $ 7 per person

OPENING: From Saturday, May 28, to Sunday, August 14

HOURS: Monday to Saturday from 11 am to 6 pm and Sunday from noon to 6 pm

Stovers Branch Beach

Stovers Branch is a swimming pool in Beech Fork State Park. Amenities include picnic tables, a charcoal grill, a swamp area, children’s furniture and a rocking set, and a picnic deck.

WHERE: Beech Fork, Beech Fork Road, Lavalette

HOW MUCH: $ 1 for a daily beach ticket with a maximum of $ 4 per car

Beech Fork Lake

Beech Fork Lake is an artificial lake with a beach and grassy area, a playground and a marina.

TIME: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 6 p.m. Sunday

Big Bend Swimming Beach

The Big Band is a place to swim at your own risk with picnic tables and a sandy surface.

WHERE: Upper Lake Vesuvius

HOW MUCH: $ 3 per car, with discounts for seniors and passports for access

East Linn Lake

This lake has ramps for launching boats and fishing, a recreational area next to the lake, a camping area in East Fork, water skiing, a marina and swimming in the East Fork area.

WHERE: 683 Overlook Trail Road, East Linn

HOW MUCH: $ 3 per launch and recovery and $ 30 for an annual pass

April Dawn Spraiground

Located in April Dawn Park, this spraying area has an evos-style playground, a picnic shelter first come, first served and a skate park.

Barboursville Park Splash Park

Located in Barboursville Park, this spray park features picnic areas and shelters with a canopy that are the first to come, serve first or be rented and fished on Lake William.

Hurricane Park Spray

Located in Hurricane City Park, this spraying park has a seating area and a concession stand and is available for private party bookings.

HOW MUCH: 3 USD per person or free for Putnam County residents with ID card

OPENING: Remembrance Day, May 30

YOU: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Reservations for private parties are available daily from 18:15 until 20:15.

Friends of Ironton Spray Park

This spray park is a spray pad located in Friends Park along with several water spouts.

Waves of Fun

This wave pool in Hurricane offers all-day rental of cabins, tubes and pop-up tents for parties.

WHERE: 1 Valley Drive, Hurricane, West Virginia

HOW MUCH: $ 8 for adults, $ 6 for children ages 5 to 11, $ 6 for seniors, $ 6 for the military with an ID card and free for children under 4. Season passes and rentals are also available.

OPENING: Remembrance Day weekend, 28-29. May and then closed again until Saturday, June 4

YOU: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday

Built in 1926, this public pool has provided almost a century of entertainment for the people of Ken. The pool also hosts a “dog day” at the end of the pool season for everyone to bring their furry friends.
