It is a grand slam fundraiser as Benefit the Badge teams up with Mycenae to release the Benefit the Badge Makload USSSA Bath for 2022.
A limited edition baton was created in honor of the men and women in the police force. The rod is made of premium aviation fibers and is made of 12-inch E-Flex 360 tubes. Fogle Family Foundation / Benefit the Badge President and Fogle Enterprises Inc. President Nolan Fogle shared Myanne Worth Sports, which is owned by Rawlings, and produced a stick for Benefit the Badge.
“Rawlings is in St. Louis, but Myken Worth, who is the biggest name in the world of softball, they are from Minnesota. They have been number 1 in the production of bats for years and years. They make the best products. “Everyone knows that it is the highest quality product with their sticks,” Fogle said. “They also make all the helmets for the major baseball league. It’s kind of interesting. They work with them on all that technology to make sure someone is hit by the terrain and all that stuff. ”
Fogle said that Myken approached him to make a stick in the part of the police and to discover Benefit the Badge and its cause.
They said, ‘Look, we want to make 1,500 of these, which will make it limited.’ When they do a limited bat, they usually do 500 or 1000. But they thought this would be a really popular thing, so they offered to make 1,500 of them and give part of every bat sale to Benefit the Badge and also give more exposure to the target. It was great.”
Fogle added that when they first released the bat in February, something common happened.
“They came for several hundred bats after they sold out within five or six weeks. It is now being sold to dealers and now dealers will have it for sale. But the merchants believed so much that they bought them and pledged to buy them from Mycenae. That is simply not happening, “Fogle said. “They say that usually when they do a special stick race with something that is not their normal bats, what they do… usually at the end of the first year, they still have bats left after the whole year. I think it’s just a great example of how much people really want to help law enforcement. “
As a professional softball player, Fogle said that he has been working with Mycenae for several years, which made this team even more special.
“We play at the so-called USSSA conference and travel around the United States throughout the season. Its name is Benefit the Badge / Miken Worth and Miken has been good for us for at least the last 10 years and has provided us with all the sticks we need and punching gloves and bags for sticks and ranches, all for free for years. ” said Fogle. “They sponsored me personally, giving me a lot of things. They have simply been very good to us for a long time and this is just something exaggerated that really speaks and shows how great and how great they were. ”
Although the organization has received a lot of attention since its founding, Fogle said since the debut of the Benefit the Badge bat, they have reached new people around the world.
“Mycenaean products are sold everywhere, so as soon as they were released, we were immediately on display across the United States, from coast to coast. “Everyone who didn’t know about our goal started knowing about it almost immediately,” Fogle said. “That presentation alone was amazing and it really opened a lot of doors for us. Even for Branson, something else based on Branson, which has a good goal and a good message spreading across the United States, was also a great thing for us.
The USSSA Bath Limited Edition Benefit the Badge is available for purchase from select dealers. However, Fogle said that Branson already has about 50 bats that can be bought directly from Benefit the Badge for about $ 240 per piece. To purchase the stick, contact Fogle by sending a message to the Benefit the Badge Facebook page.
Branson-based Benefit the Badge was launched in 2017. Through various fundraising campaigns held over the past four years, they have raised more than $ 370,000 for local law enforcement agencies.
The funds raised go to the Stone County Sheriff’s Department, Thane County Sheriff’s Department, Branson Police Department, Hollister Police Department, Merriam Woods Police Department, Kimberling City Police Department and Branson West Police Department.
“That money was given to them for the things they need, such as protective devices, things that will help them do their job better, safer and more efficiently.” “Some of that was used to spread the word about all the incredible positive things that the police are doing,” Fogle said. “Funds are scattered among them, according to the number of officers they have. That was a great reason. “
With Benefit the Badge, Fogle also shared another of their goals is to raise funds without adding additional law enforcement responsibilities.
“We are trying to do that with very little effort by the officers. We try to do this with community volunteers and organizations that already support departments, and in that way it does very little stress, stress or work on employees. Our whole point is that we want them to keep doing their job, to focus on their job, to be appreciated and to have the things they need to be able to do their job and be safe, because they put their lives there on a cube, every second of every day for us, ”Fogle said. “They have families and they do normal things. Then they put on a uniform and it’s like shooting at a target, but they do it and they keep doing it. “
On the topic of volunteers, Fogle added that they are always looking for new people who want to help.
“We have several projects that we hope will raise a lot of money, but we need more volunteers to help us get going. So, if someone reads this and is interested in volunteering, we would like them to contact us at Benefit the Badge on Facebook and send a message, “Fogle said. “It can only be once a year to once a month and something in between. We would like to have some more help if anyone is interested. “
