SINGAPORE, May 31, 2022 (GLOBE NEVSVIRE) - Singapore-based blockchain gaming company Digital Entertainment Asset Pte. Ltd. (DEA), known for its leading GameFi platform PlayMining, which contains original NFTs from well-known Japanese creators and the cryptocurrency token DEAPcoin (code “DEP”), today announced the appointment of Tatsuya Kohrogi as Vice President and Head of Global Business.
Recently recognized as the first cryptocurrency token for earnings in Japan, the DEA led the GameFi industry in Asia with over 2.4 million players worldwide from Indonesia, the Philippines, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam and others. During the presentation of DEA’s business strategy in April, the company shared actual revenue numbers for the first half of 2022 that amounted to SGD 40 million, with an EBITDA of SGD 26 million. The DEA’s annual revenue forecast for 2022 is presented as SGD 102 million with an EBITDA of SGD 43 million. Since the beginning of the battle with trading cards called JobTribes, 100 original NFT works have been created by famous Japanese creators who have received royalties of over 6 million USD to date.

Prior to joining the DEA, Kohrogi served as Partner Manager at Meta where he built relationships with key advertising agencies in Japan and strategically increased the business of his key partners by 3k in 2 years and achieved an increase in annual revenue from 9 digits in USD.
Prior to Meta, he was at SoftBank, where he held several roles over a 7-year period, including investment strategy, business development, sales management, digital marketing and co-founder of an in-house venture.
Kohrogi also trained with Masaioshi “Masa” Son, CEO of SoftBank Group for 3 years at SoftBank Academia, where he learned the art of corporate governance directly from Son and worked on CEO projects as a member of Son’s successor program.
