Former US Open champion Bryson Deschamps has officially joined the Saudi-backed LIV Golf Invitational Series, tournament officials said.
DeChambeau has confirmed his intention to join the rebound round on Wednesday and will play in another event in Portland starting later this month.
The 28-year-old will join Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Sergio Garcia and Ian Poulter, who will play at the inaugural event at the Centurion Club in St. Albans this week.
Minutes after the first shots on Thursday, the PGA Tour suspended all 17 players on the field who took part, despite being rejected for the requested releases, and said “the same fate applies” to players participating in the future LIV Golf Events , so DeChambeau, the eight-time winner of the PGA Tour including the US Open 2020, will also be suspended.

DeChambeau revealed on Wednesday that he will play the second tournament of the LIV Golf Series in Portland at the end of the month, despite indications last week that he will not join the series that separated.

The 54-hole event in London, with no cuts or shotgun starts, is the richest golf tournament ever with a $ 4 million individual winner and a $ 5 million split between the top three teams.
